The chance of being bitten is slight.There have been 15 incidents of shark bite in 130 years.  The main denizens of Biscayne Bay and environs are generally non-agressive black tip and nurse sharks.  Due to the great clarity of  the water, is unlikely sharks will mistake swimmers for their usual prey.
